Hello Christophe, could you describe your career journey in a few words?
I entered the world of hairstyling very early (I was only 15 years old!) and quickly specialized in coloring. Dominique, the manager of the first salon where I worked in Bar-sur-Aude, told me, “you need to be a good colorist because there are already many great hairstylists.” You could say I took her advice to heart!
Thirsty for discovery, I left the south of France to move to Paris at just 18 years old, the place to be! Then everything happened very quickly… I was working at L’Oréal when I had the honor of taking care of Stephanie Seymour, it was the very sober and natural coloring I did for her that kicked off the start of my career. Claudia Schiffer, Vanessa Paradis, Catherine Deneuve… These stunning women with unique hair have all walked through the door of my salon on Rue Mont Thabor for me to breathe new life into their color. An honor!
Today, I focus more on repairing and caring for hair sensitized by too many colorings. Some of my ranges are indeed iconic. I’m very proud of them!

How did you discover Joëlle Ciocco?
I was 18 when I met Joëlle. We had both just arrived in Paris. That was 30 years ago… She had a booth in a large Parisian salon on Avenue Matignon. I was amazed by her theory on skin care. Already a precursor and full of common sense. I immediately fell in love with her personality and work ethic.
What was your first Joëlle Ciocco Paris cosmetic and what is your favorite?
I cannot do without the Abriciol (being reformulated), I travel a lot and my skin needs a lot of nourishment and soothing. After my cleansing with the Crème Émulsionnante I apply it by massaging and feel an immediate benefit.
I also love and cannot do without the Régulateur Actif (being reformulated). So light, it penetrates immediately and gives me unparalleled comfort.
I also use the Skin Defensive (being reformulated) before the cream to fight against Parisian pollution, ammonia attacks that I have been breathing for too long. And also before makeup, which I can’t stand on my skin, but is applied to me for shoots and when I am performing.
Why do you trust her?
I trust Joëlle’s products because I feel so many benefits when I apply them and throughout the day.
To be honest, I am a big fan and very loyal to Joëlle’s products. When I happen to use other products, I always have feelings of tightness and a lack of nourishment and hydration that gives me redness!
I smoke too much, breathe poorly, live in polluted cities and still, people tell me that despite being 47 years old, I have beautiful skin! Thank you, dear Joëlle…
In terms of cosmetics, what do you prioritize?
Nutrition and comfort. Results over the long term as well. I hate silicone products and those that are immediate illusions.
What is the best advice Joëlle has given you?
Stop smoking, cleanse your skin well in the evening, and stop sunbathing. I only listen to her about cleansing!
